						The
Marimex ViscoScope process viscometer is based on a sensor connected to a transmitter via a transmission cable.

The sensor is driven by the transmitter, which stimulates it to an
oscillating torsion at a small amplitude.
						A fast closed loop
PID controller maintains the resonance frequency of the sensor at a constant level. Thus as

viscosity increases, so does the power required. This property can be used to measure the dynamic viscosity in mPa•s x gr/cm³ (η x ρ).
						The
inline viscometer is ready for immediate use and responds to viscosity changes in less than 2 seconds.

						The probe’s
torsional oscillation generates a shear wave with a low penetration in the liquid allowing the smallest
						differences in
viscosity to be detected even under challenging process conditions.
